I have grown very fond of California.  Which is odd because as a kid in Michigan I wasn’t sure it was a real place.

All we knew about California was that everything odd or strange started there.

Now it seems to me to be the bravest of states.  The state that sees what is right and what is wrong more clearly than any other.  Not sure how a teacher can afford to live there, but if I ever do figure it out I will be moving.
