Does it strike anyone else as ironic that an election hijacked by the religious white (sorry I meant “right”) actually did lead to a marked increase in prayer?

Of course it is not a return to religion.  The prayers are more along the lines of not having any family members taken during the night by the government.  But still, it is nice people are praying again right?
