I am aware that conservatives can’t seem to get their mind’s around why there are so many liberals.  I get that.  There are a lot of us, and it is logical to assume that after this presidency our numbers are going to grow at a precipitous rate.  I get that the conservatives find this confusing.

But where I lose them is right here.  The only reason I can see for being a conservative is that everything as it stands is fine.  It is a position that is based on the idea that everything is peachy.  There is simply no need for change.  The private schools the rich kids go to is only marginally better than the public schools in Detroit or St. Louis, the nation’s laws are applied fairly and without regard to color,   people who are queer or different aren’t beaten in the streets, and people that are willing to work here are allowed to stay here.

When that is what the United States of America looks like I will be a conservative too.
