The elephant is a fascinating logo for the Republicans.  The choice of an animal with such a renowned memory is the height of irony.  The party that believes that this country was built by the single-minded determination of white men, the hard work of white men, reached it’s glorious zenith in the 1950s, and has utterly defeated racism and inequality.  I picture the “Mad Hatter” as a more appropriate logo.
