The Ridiculous Hat
The Choice
Our Kids Are Not Safe
Good lord this makes me so sad……
Talk About Power
I really do like this idea. I think every segment of the population should have make believe heroes (and of course real ones). I toyed around with doing a Trans super hero but I couldn’t quite figure out how to draw the super power of being “happy.”
So Neat
It is interesting that states in an America that is “Great Again” have moved from actively disliking the entire LGBTQ community and moved toward focusing on the letter T. Apparently the most radical and “unnatural” group in that line of letters is the T.
To even the biggest redneck it has to be clear that gay, bi, and lesbian folks aren’t really a problem. Biblically they are defective of course……but those Ts suggest manufacturing errors by God! Oh for goodness sakes we can’t have that!
World Class Hate
It is difficult to think of any single thing in the history of man that represents more wasted potential than the church.
I think the wasted potential is more disappointing than the hate it spews in every direction. In one stroke it represents something that could have made the world a better place, but instead made it a sewer.
Why a Weapon?
Two people I would love to watch a ball game with.
I am also more than a little bit curious about whether or not Charlie Brown is an ally to the LGBTQ community or not.
Cartoon Bar
The funny thing about high school students (and maybe all of us) is that they love to take a point of truth and generalize it to be a rule. Gay marriage can’t come up at school without the kids figuring all LGBTQ people want to be married.
I think maybe this human need to put things in boxes is part of the reason people struggle so with trans folk. People have clear expectations for lesbians and gay men. They may not like it, but to some degree they understand the nature of it and are able to apply the stereotypes necessary to make peace with it. But changing genders? Even liberals can get a little jumpy about that one.
Men are particularly funny about this topic and why I have come out to so few men. They can not imagine not wanting to be a guy! I get the feeling from many that I have voluntarily left the Yankees to play for a minor league club.
