Originally, this book was going to be called Mom and Me. In writing my 8 previous books, the most meaningful “thank you” came from the parents with trans kids. I told someone that behind every transgender person who survived to adulthood and found happiness, there is a fierce and unrelenting mother. This book is a reflection of us accepting that we wished we’d known more but forgiving ourselves for not.
