It cracks me up that so many lessons I have learned as a trans person sound so absolutely simple.

But of course they aren’t.  It is easy to say you won’t hide anymore, but it is far more difficult to feel that way when two women are screaming at you in a ladies room at the airport.

Being afraid to leave a bathroom stall is not something you learn from so much as try to survive.  It is my sincere hope I am not making this journey seem simplistic.
